Miami Processing Service ("Miami Address")

About Processing in Miami

Each tracking number represents an individual package (“Shipment”), even if the shipment includes multiple items and/or documents. Each individual piece of a multi-piece shipment will be treated as a separate shipment and will be charged according to UEI’s service rates.

UEI reserves the right to refuse acceptance of shipments if they have been opened, tampered with, or damaged prior to arrival. UEI offers a service for each shipment and does not provide Consolidation Services. UEI does not transport cash, drugs, or other items prohibited or restricted by the legislation of the United States of America or the destination countries. UEI is responsible for reporting these violations to the appropriate government authorities.

To avoid delays in service, UEI reserves the right to assign a market value to any un-prealerted item that does not come with an invoice indicating its value at the time of inspection at our operations center in Miami. If the value declared by the customer is lower than the market value and a local customs inspector adjusts it, UEI will transfer the adjustment amount and any penalties incurred due to a customs misdeclaration.

Shipments may be held at the Miami address for up to sixty (60) days due to reasons including unpaid invoices, lack of payment, additional preparation for shipping, or receipt of shipments with errors in the recipient’s name, address, or UEI account number. UEI may destroy or dispose of any shipment at its sole discretion that remains unclaimed or has been at the Miami address or in destination facilities for more than sixty (60) days.

UEI transports shipments from the Miami address to your final destination, including customs service and delivery to the customer. These services are charged according to the rate table published on UEI.

Compliance for the Miami Processing Service

UEI complies with all applicable laws of the United States and destination countries. To enable such compliance, you agree to provide legal and accurate information regarding your name, address, phone numbers, email, and payment information, and you agree to:

  • Complete USPS Form 1583
  • Provide two (2) forms of identification, including one (1) valid government-issued photo ID
  • Authorize UEI to review and inspect all shipments, packages, and cargo
  • Allow U.S. Customs and Border Protection to inspect and confiscate prohibited items outside of the U.S.

When processing for air shipment (including hazardous materials), additional costs may apply. Do not ship restricted or prohibited items (Restricted Items). Obtain and pay for any additional permits required by local authorities. Use your purchase invoice to declare the value and description of products for customs declarations.

Under TSA regulations, if a package contains physical documentation that differs from the documentation provided by the customer, UEI will use the physical documentation to process the package. You are solely responsible for paying any taxes, fees, charges, or fines imposed by customs authorities due to an erroneous declaration of value or for sending prohibited items.

Prices and Payment for Miami Processing Service and Correspondence

UEI offers an updated rate accessible by visiting ueicouriers.com and selecting your country, or directly at Rates. UEI may modify its rates without prior notice, in accordance with market conditions and supplier prices.

Packages arriving at the Miami address will be subject to additional charges related to transportation to the destination country and customs duties as determined by local authorities. UEI will handle necessary customs clearance procedures without prior authorization for shipments with a CIF value < USD $3,000. For shipments above this amount, UEI will request authorization and advance payment before releasing the item from customs.

UEI is not responsible for additional charges made by any financial institution or payment platform chosen by the Customer to pay for UEI services. This includes interest accrued on credit cards where delivery exceeds the normal billing cycle and fees applied by payment platforms for processing international transactions.

Merchandise Exclusions and Conditions

UEI is not responsible for shipments containing items such as stamps, jewelry, raw precious metals, coins, checks, debit/credit cards, gift cards, manuscripts, stocks, firearms or parts, tickets or travel vouchers, automobiles, scale models, perishable goods, neon signs, antiques, and any other restricted or prohibited items listed here: Restricted Items.

UEI does not cover claims for the opening, confiscation, or destruction of packages by customs authorities in the U.S. or destination country.
